Rob Burden
Technical Director – Site Contamination
Rob has been sought out for his expertise and advice at high levels both here and abroad.
As an environmental specialist, he has amassed more than 30 years’ experience in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Europe. He has held senior management and director positions in environmental consultancies in New Zealand and Europe.
Rob has acted as an advisor to the Ministry for the Environment and presented specialist evidence at many resource consent hearings. His expert testimony has been heard in the Environment Court, district courts and at judicial settlement conferences.
For regional and district councils, Rob also reviews and processes resource consent applications involving contaminated land and waste management.
Areas of expertise include:
• assessing and remediating contaminated land
• managing landfills and cleanfills
• assessing environmental effects
• assessing and managing waste
• environmental auditing.
OUTSIDE WORK: Rob likes to go hiking and mountain biking.
