Since joining Riley, Vaughan has expanded his engineering knowledge to become a key senior team member. He works closely with some high-profile clients; for Trustpower, he manages its North Island dam portfolio in a safety role.

Vaughan’s broad base incorporates civil, geotechnical and water resources engineering. His skills range from investigation and design through to contract documentation and construction supervision.

He has managed or been involved in diverse water-resource projects including:
• dam safety reviews and monitoring
• construction supervision of large dams
• subdivision development
• flood assessments
• stormwater mitigation.

OUTSIDE WORK: Vaughan enjoys time with his family out in the boat and triathlon training.
